Luis was raised in Milton-Freewater, Oregon. He joined Baker Boyer in 2014 as a Personal Banker and quickly set a goal to work in mortgage lending. After successfully piloting a Consumer Lending Program at Baker Boyer's Milton-Freewater branch, he officially joined the Home Loan Center in 2018 as a Consumer Loan Associate, excelling in his responsibilities until he was promoted to Consumer Loan Advisor in 2019 and then to Consumer Loan Manager in 2023.

In his current role at Baker Boyer, Luis leads a team of skilled loan officers dedicated to helping community members, whether a first-time or seasoned borrower, in achieving the stability and security that comes with purchasing or building a home. He emphasizes honesty and transparency in every client interaction, ensuring thorough guidance and leveraging his expertise to help families make informed decisions. He actively promotes Baker Boyer by building partnerships with local real estate professionals and other community organizations.

Luis is committed to community service and engagement, serving as a board member of the Providence SE Washington Region Community Mission Board and the Milton-Freewater Rotary Club. He has previously served as Director of the Milton-Freewater Area Foundation from 2016 to 2020, helping local nonprofits & students secure funding and scholarships. Additionally, he sat on the Milton-Freewater School District Budget Committee for several years.
