Raised in Milton-Freewater, Oregon, Luis Alvarez joined Baker Boyer in 2014 as a Personal Banker. He quickly developed an interest in lending and helped pilot a Consumer Lending Program at the Milton-Freewater branch. In 2018, he joined the Home Loan Center as a Consumer Loan Associate before advancing to Consumer Loan Advisor in 2019 and Consumer Loan Manager in 2023. He now serves as a Business Advisor, bringing more than a decade of banking experience and a strong understanding of the financial needs of individuals and businesses throughout the community.

Luis takes a relationship-focused approach to serving clients, emphasizing honesty, transparency, and personalized guidance. Drawing on his extensive lending experience, he works closely with business owners to understand their unique needs, navigate financial decisions, and identify solutions that support their goals. He is passionate about building lasting relationships and connecting clients with the expertise and resources available at Baker Boyer to help them succeed.

Outside of his role at Baker Boyer, Luis is actively involved in the community. He serves on the Providence Southeast Washington Region Community Mission Board. Previously, he served on the board of the Milton-Freewater Area Foundation from 2016 to 2020, helping local nonprofits and students access funding and scholarship opportunities. He also served for several years on the Milton-Freewater School District Budget Committee and the Milton-Freewater Rotary Club Board.
