WENATCHEE, WA — Baker Boyer is pleased to announce its $5,000 matching donation to the Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council (CDCAC) Food Bank. Community contributions recently secured the full match, resulting in a total of $10,000 directed toward strengthening food access for families in Chelan and Douglas counties.

“With increased need across our regions, organizations like CDCAC are essential to making sure families have the resources required to thrive, especially with the government shutdown affecting funding for food programs,” said Mark Kajita, President and CEO of Baker Boyer. “We are proud to partner in this work to ensure food remains accessible for those who need it. Wenatchee clients have been very supportive of Baker Boyer and this is our way of giving back to the community.”

CDCAC supports individuals and families facing food insecurity through its Food Distribution Center and partnerships with food pantries and community agencies throughout North Central Washington.

“This meaningful contribution will help us keep food moving where it’s needed most,” said Sara Brito, Deputy Director, Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council. “Support from community-minded organizations like Baker Boyer allows us to stretch our resources further and continue responding to the growing demand we’re seeing across the Wenatchee Valley.”

This donation reflects Baker Boyer’s long-standing commitment to strengthening communities across the region and supporting organizations that provide essential services to local families.
