WALLA WALLA, WA  – Baker Boyer Bank is proud to announce a matching gift of up to $5,000 to support Blue Mountain Action Council’s (BMAC) Food Bank as it works to feed families across the Walla Walla Valley. The Bank will match every dollar donated by the community, doubling the impact and helping to secure critical resources for those in need.

“BMAC plays a vital role in making sure no one in our area goes hungry. Reduced federal funding has created an imminent need for the communities most vulnerable that Baker Boyer wanted to help overcome,” said Mark Kajita, President and CEO. “With rising food costs and increased demand, this is a pivotal moment for our community to come together and ensure every family has access to nutritious meals. We’re proud to support this initiative and invite other businesses and individuals to join us by making a contribution.”

“Baker Boyer’s matching gift will have an enormous impact on families throughout the Valley,” said Danielle Garbe Reser, CEO for Blue Mountain Action Council. “Each dollar donated goes twice as far, allowing us to help more people put food on the table when it’s needed most. We’re grateful for this partnership and hopeful that other businesses will be inspired to join this effort.”

Help Make an Impact

Baker Boyer will match gifts to the BMAC Food Bank dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000, allowing donors to effectively double their contribution. The Bank encourages other businesses across the Walla Walla Valley to launch their own matching campaigns to help maximize the collective effort and build a stronger, more resilient community.
