Alan brings more than 35 years of financial leadership experience to Baker Boyer, with an extensive background in community banking, strategic finance, and innovation. Prior to joining Baker Boyer, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Kitsap Bank, Seattle Bank, and Cashmere Valley Bank, where he helped lead significant growth initiatives, implemented new technologies, expanded business lines, and guided institutions through mergers, acquisitions, and periods of organizational transformation. Throughout his career, Alan has focused on balancing strong financial performance with disciplined risk management while helping organizations prepare for long-term success.

Alan is passionate about using financial strategy and emerging technology to strengthen organizations and create opportunities for growth. His collaborative leadership style emphasizes mentoring others, building strong teams, and partnering across departments to develop practical solutions that support both clients and colleagues. He believes that thoughtful innovation and continuous improvement are essential to helping community banks thrive in an evolving financial landscape.

Alan values opportunities to give back and contribute his experience to meaningful causes. He currently serves as Board Chair of Clean & Prosperous Washington. He has also contributed his leadership to organizations including the Wenatchee Valley YMCA, Central Washington University College of Business Advisory Board, Chelan County & City of Wenatchee Housing Authority, and the Wenatchee School District.

  • Started skate and downhill skiing at 35 after finishing last in a corporate race, then returned to place top 10 in his division as a solo racer.
