Luis was raised in Milton-Freewater, Oregon. He joined Baker Boyer in 2014 as a Personal Banker and quickly set a goal to work in mortgage lending. After successfully piloting a consumer lending program at the Milton-Freewater branch, he officially joined the Home Loan Center in 2018 as a Consumer Loan Associate, excelling in his responsibilities until he was promoted to Consumer Loan Advisor in 2019 and then to Consumer Loan Manager in 2023.    

In his role at Baker Boyer, Luis leads a team of expert loan officers in working with local people and first time homeowners. Helping them find a sense of security that buying or building a home can bring to a local family. He enjoys increasing awareness for Baker Boyer through networking and collaboration with local Real Estate professionals and other local business institutions.

Luis is passionate about the Latino community in the valley and hopes to continue to contribute to its growth and equity through volunteering and community engagement. He is a board member of the Providence St. Mary Medical Center Community Mission Board and Milton-Freewater Rotary Club. He was the Director of the Milton-Freewater Foundation from 2016-2020 assisting local nonprofits to find funding and sat on the Milton Freewater School Dist Budget Committee for several years.
