Why don’t I have the option to review and initiate the batch?
Batches may not be able to be initiated for a few common reasons:
- Dual Control requirements: If your business uses Dual Control, your user may not have permission to initiate the batch until another user has placed it in Pending Approval status.
- Edits were made to a pending batch: If your business uses Dual Control and your user makes changes to a batch that is already in Pending Approval status, select Return to Ready. Another user will then need to place the batch back into Pending Approval before it can be initiated.
- The batch is not balanced: If the batch is not balanced, a red banner will appear when you open the Batch Details screen. The batch will need to be corrected before it can be initiated.
