Why don’t I have the option to review and initiate the batch?

Batches may not be able to be initiated for a few common reasons:

  1. Dual Control requirements: If your business uses Dual Control, your user may not have permission to initiate the batch until another user has placed it in Pending Approval status.
  2. Edits were made to a pending batch: If your business uses Dual Control and your user makes changes to a batch that is already in Pending Approval status, select Return to Ready. Another user will then need to place the batch back into Pending Approval before it can be initiated.
  3. The batch is not balanced: If the batch is not balanced, a red banner will appear when you open the Batch Details screen. The batch will need to be corrected before it can be initiated.
