Baker Boyer Names Alan Crain Chief Financial Officer

WALLA WALLA, Washington – Baker Boyer has named Alan Crain, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer, bringing 35 years of financial leadership and community banking experience to the organization.
Crain joins Baker Boyer following leadership roles at several Washington-based financial institutions, including serving as CFO of Kitsap Bank and Cashmere Valley Bank. Throughout his career, he has led strategic growth initiatives, financial planning, risk management, operational improvements, and technology modernization efforts.
“Alan brings a depth of experience and a thoughtful leadership approach that align well with Baker Boyer’s values and long-term vision,” said Mark Kajita, President and CEO of Baker Boyer. “His background in community banking, strategic planning, and financial stewardship will be a welcome addition.”
Crain has also been involved in community leadership throughout Washington, currently serving with organizations including Martha & Mary and Clean & Prosperous Washington, while previously supporting groups such as the Wenatchee Valley YMCA, Central Washington University’s College of Business Advisory Board, and local housing and school initiatives.
“I’m honored to join Baker Boyer, an organization with a remarkable history and strong reputation for relationship-driven banking,” said Crain. “I look forward to working alongside the team to continue supporting clients, communities, and the Bank’s long-term success.”
The announcement follows Baker Boyer’s previously shared transition plan regarding the upcoming retirement of longtime CFO Jolene Riggs in May 2027. Riggs will continue with Baker Boyer throughout the transition period to support onboarding and ensure continuity in leadership and operations.
