Before joining Baker Boyer in 2016, Rob helped run newspapers in Yakima, Walla Walla and Portland, Maine. He has more than two decades of experience in business and non-profit leadership, journalism and running a division of a family business. Rob draws inspiration from his late father who taught him to respect all, listen intently, and to have as much fun as you can each-and-every day.

Promoted to the Executive Committee in 2020, Rob oversees Family Advising, the Yakima and Tri-Cities offices, and Marketing. He works with employees and leaders throughout the bank to elevate the D.S. Baker Advisor teaming approach, which emphasizes empowerment and solutions for the benefit of clients, as well as to market Baker Boyer’s unique and world-class client experience.

Rob believes in giving back. He is a member of Rotary and a Board Member, past Board Chair and current Treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as a current Board Member and Treasurer of the Blue Mountain Health Cooperative. He has also served on the boards of the YMCA, Bluewood Alpine Race Team, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Portland, Whitman Pioneer, and the United Way.
