Giving Back to the Community

Baker Boyer's Trust Advisors administer several scholarship and grant programs. These support the community by offering funding for medical needs, education, and community enrichment opportunities.

Scholarships

Baker Boyer Bank will award three scholarships in the amounts of $1,000 to students that have completed the Baker Boyer Bank Finance Academy Program. Applicants must complete the form by May 1st of each year. Certain restrictions apply.
Baker Boyer Bank Finance Academy Scholarship

College scholarship for graduates of Walla Walla County high schools, up to $4,000 per year. Application deadline: April 1.
George T. Welch Scholarship

For students from the Milton-Freewater area, there are 11 different scholarship options available. Application deadline: April 1.
Milton-Freewater Area Foundation Scholarships

Baker Boyer Trust Advisor Administered Grants

For medical expenses not covered by existing programs, based on financial need. Up to $1,500 per year. Application deadlines: February 15, May 15, August 15, and November 15.  
GEORGE T. WELCH MEDICAL NEEDS GRANT

For the enrichment of Walla Walla County, up to $4,000 per year. Application deadline: July 31.
GEORGE T. WELCH COMMUNITY GRANT

Primary consideration to summer programs for Walla Walla Valley children and youth, up to $5,000 per year. Application deadline: March 1.
YANCEY P. WINANS COMMUNITY GRANT

For charitable and educational programs that enrich the lives of the inhabitants of Milton-Freewater and its immediate vicinity. Applications are considered on a rolling basis. The distribution committee meets on a quarterly basis (March, June, September, and December).
