Promotions Announced


We are pleased to announce the promotions of; Teresa Larson to Executive Vice President and Josh Allington to Senior Vice President, Russ Colombo to Senior Vice President, J.T. Lieuallen to Vice President, Mark Lutcher to Vice President, Levi Waggoner to Assistant Vice President, Lora Zink to Assistant Vice President, and Jessica Long to Assistant Vice President. The promotions were approved by the Baker Boyer Board of Directors at their December Board Meeting and take effect on January 1, 2018.

“We are excited to see the growth of these individuals as their careers develop with the bank. They are invaluable assets to the bank’s strategy and helping to achieve our goal of strengthening the communities we serve,” remarked Mark Kajita, Baker Boyer President and CEO.

Teresa Larson promoted to Executive Vice President

Teresa Larson, EVP, and Strategic Plan Director, began her 35-year career with Baker Boyer in 1982. During that time she has worked as a teller, installment loan assistant, business banking assistant, and executive assistant. In 2000, Teresa was promoted to the Executive Committee Secretary and in 2011 became the head of the bank’s Strategic Planning Advancement team. She became a member of the bank’s Executive Committee as a Senior Vice President in 2014. In her current role as Strategic Plan Director, Teresa executes the Strategic Plan by being involved in many strategic projects including employee training, integrating new systems, improving current procedures, and building remodels. During her career, she has had a tremendous influence on the bank’s strategic plan, daily operations, and employee relations. Teresa is a lifetime resident of Walla Walla and graduated from Walla Walla High School. She has gone through the Leadership Walla Walla program at Walla Walla Community College, has served on the board of the local Soroptimist International and is joining the Walla Walla YWCA board in January 2018.

Josh Allington promoted to Senior Vice President

Allington started his career with Baker Boyer in 1998 as a bank courier. Throughout his career, he has held the roles of insurance clerk, business manager, dealer loan officer, credit analyst, commercial loan officer, as well as banking operations center manager. Early in 2017, Allington was promoted to the position of Lead Business Banking Strategist. In this role, Josh manages the business lending and operational divisions of the bank. His goal is to optimize the operations of the bank by working across departments to provide a long-term strategy. Josh is a graduate of Walla Walla High School class of 1996, Walla Walla Community College and the Western Banking School of Commercial Lending. He is also a graduate of University of Colorado Graduate School of Banking. A lifelong resident of Walla Walla, Josh has given back to the community he calls home through his service with the bank and his involvement in various organizations. He served as board member and president of the board for Walla Walla Children’s Museum from 2006 – 2012, is a former board member of the Walla Walla Chamber of Commerce, and present group leader for Awana.

Russ Colombo, Chief Credit Officer, promoted to Senior Vice President

Russ Colombo began his career with Baker Boyer Bank in 1978. With 39 years of Banking experience and over 20 years of Lending experience, Russ rose through the ranks, serving in many capacities, including Messenger to Loan Operations and Business Banking Manager. Russ is a graduate of Northwest Intermediate Banking School and is a Member of the Advisory Board for Accounting Technology Business Curriculum at Walla Walla Community College.

J.T. Lieuallen, Trust Advisor, promoted to Vice President

J.T. has served clients as a Trust and Financial Advisor for the past ten years, specializing in Trust and Estate administration, financial and retirement planning and asset management. He works with investors to find solutions to their complex financial issues and provides guidance to beneficiaries. Included among his areas of expertise are Special Needs Trusts, Charitable and Non-Profit foundations, Probate, Irrevocable Trusts and RLTs. J.T. received his Bachelor’s degree from Linfield College and his JD degree from the University of Oregon. Prior to joining the bank, he practiced law in Pendleton, focusing primarily on estate planning, business organization, land use, juvenile law and domestic relations. He is active in local charitable organizations, including the United Way, YMCA, and Rotary.

Mark Lutcher, Senior Financial Analyst, promoted to Vice President

Lutcher began his career at Baker Boyer in 2008, as a Financial Analyst working in the Controller’s Department. Mark’s primary responsibilities are related to internal financial reporting and analysis. Mark has completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.

Levi Waggoner, Human Resources Manager, promoted to Assistant Vice President

Waggoner joined the Baker Boyer team in early 2017. Before joining the bank, he worked as the Human Resources and Office Manager for an Engineering Consulting firm in Tacoma. In his role as Human Resources manager, Levi has been deeply involved in employee recruitment, as well as onboarding, orientation, and engagement. Levi is a graduate of Walla Walla University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations & Journalism.

Lora Zink, Branch Manager, promoted to Assistant Vice President

Lora began her career at Baker Boyer 14 years ago and has worked in various areas throughout the bank, including operations, wealth management, and business banking. In recent years, Lora worked as an assistant manager at the bank’s main office and Eastgate branches and was appointed as the branch manager in Milton-Freewater in 2015. Lora is a current board member of Milton-Freewater Downtown Alliance, Milton-Freewater Area Chamber of Commerce, President of Community Development Partnership and a general member of the Milton-Freewater Rotary.

Jessica Long, Executive Project Manager and Senior Executive Assistant, promoted to Assistant Vice President

Jessica has been with Baker Boyer since 2001, starting as a Cooperative Office Education intern in the Wealth Management department, and has since held various positions at the bank. She has worked closely with the Executive Committee for eight years and has progressively taken on more responsibilities including the role of Executive Committee Secretary and Executive Assistant to the President and CEO. Jessica graduated from Walla Walla High School and then received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services Management from the University of Phoenix.
