Baker Boyer Funds Lunches for those Volunteering at Vaccine Clinic

Baker Boyer will help provide complimentary lunches from local restaurants to all those who are volunteering at the Walla Walla County Fairgrounds Vaccine Clinic. The bank would like to show gratitude for all those who are working tirelessly to get our community vaccinated and to provide a little relief for those volunteers who are putting in eight-hour shifts.

Baker Boyer has committed to organizing at least four lunches starting Thursday, February 11. Baker Boyer will purchase lunch from a local restaurant, each of whom is also a Baker Boyer client, to feed around 60 volunteers during the lunch hour.

“We think it’s very important that we express our gratitude to the men and women who have been tirelessly vaccinating our community against Covid-19, so we can get to herd immunity and back to the new normal as quickly as possible,” said Mark Kajita, president and CEO of Baker Boyer.

“At the same time, we hope this provides a small boost to local restaurants whose businesses have been impacted by the current situation. We encourage other businesses and community members to join in this effort and provide support to our volunteers and the vaccination effort as we’re all in this together.”

Each year, Baker Boyer contributes nearly $200,000 in donations and sponsorships to support local nonprofit and community organizations and programs. To learn more about Baker Boyer’s contributions, click here
