Baker Boyer announces promotion of Marco Contreras to Investment advisor

Baker Boyer welcomes Marco Contreras to its team of Investment Advisors.

Contreras previously served as a Trust Associate at the bank. In his new role, he works with clients to identify strategic investment plans that meet their current needs and long-term goals.

“I enjoy serving clients because it gives me a chance to provide them with current financial data and trends to help them reach their financial goals and ease any fears they have during the process,” he said. “I get a sense of satisfaction by being able to share one of my passions of finance with clients to help them make prudent and informed financial decisions.”

Born and raised in Walla Walla, Contreras earned his associate degree at Walla Walla Community College and his bachelor’s in business management at Eastern Washington University. He has a Global Collaboration Experience certificate from X-Culture.

His career in banking started after college in 2017 as a teller in Spokane. He returned to Walla Walla the next year as a personal banker and loan officer at Washington Federal before moving to Baker Boyer.

Contreras has been active in Junior Achievement, helping to inspire and prepare youth for success through financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurship.
