Baker Boyer Announces Eight Promotions


Baker Boyer values employees that are dedicated to our clients and improving the communities we serve. That includes a tradition of growing careers from within. Baker Boyer is pleased to announce the promotions of one to Vice President and seven to Assistant Vice President effective January 1, 2022. 

Dana Evans to Vice President  

Dana Evans

In 2016, Dana changed career paths from working as an attorney and joined Baker Boyer as a Business Advisor. In 2019, she was promoted to the Bank’s Credit Administration department, where her vast legal knowledge has been instrumental in regulatory, compliance, and risk management practices. Dana graduated from Jamestown College in North Dakota and from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Her law career included both prosecution work as well as civil litigation. In her spare time, she is involved in the community as the WA-Hi Varsity Soccer Coach and is currently serving as the President for the Walla Walla Exchange Club.     

Jamie Anderson to Assistant Vice President  

Jamie Anderson

Jamie Anderson joined Baker Boyer in 2009 in the Contact Center. She was quickly promoted to Accounting Clerk within the Controller’s department. In 2018, she was promoted to Accountant and then most recently Senior Accountant in 2021. In Jamie’s time at the Bank, she has created many efficiencies in the Controller’s Department. This past year the Exchange Club awarded her “2021 Rookie of the Year”. In her spare time, Jamie and her husband Mark stay busy with home projects, walking their dog Marley, and outdoor adventures. 

Jacki Boatman to Assistant Vice President  

Jacki Boatman

Jacki has been with Baker Boyer since 2017 in her role as Executive Assistant to Josh Allington and Rob Blethen. She has done an outstanding job helping both achieve their short and long-term objectives throughout that time. Jacki is also very active in Baker Boyer committees and initiatives, as well as being a resource to employees at all levels for her technical knowledge and project management skills. Jacki enjoys hiking with James and their dog Raven. 

Megan Doblar to Assistant Vice President  

Megan Doblar

Megan Doblar joined the Baker Boyer team in 2017 as the IRA/HSA Administrator. She graduated from Washington State University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Business Management. Megan was promoted to the Banking Operations Support Assistant Manager in 2019 before being promoted to her current role of Banking Operations Support Manager in 2021. Megan enjoys spending time with her husband Zach in the garden, camping and playing board games.  

Craig Hamada to Assistant Vice President  

Craig Hamada

Craig Hamada came to Baker Boyer in 2020 as a highly regarded, award winning supervisor and manager with 28 years of experience in the government sector. In his time with the Bank, he has quickly become an integral part of the Wealth Management team. Craig grew up in the Walla Walla Valley and enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and three daughters. 

Cherylyn Hoerner to Assistant Vice President  

Cherylyn Hoerner

Cherylyn Hoerner joined the Baker Boyer team in 2018 as a Loan Servicer, bringing 17 years of bank experience. She was then promoted to Lead Loan Servicer before being promoted to Assistant Loan Operations Manager in 2021 and Loan Operations Manager January 1, 2022. She values her team in Loan Operations and works hard to ensure the Bank’s clients receive outstanding customer service. Together with her husband Chris, they raise their family of two kids and two dogs.  

Stephanie Rubin to Assistant Vice President  

Stephanie Rubin

Stephanie has been at Baker Boyer since 2009, starting out as a Teller and then becoming a Family Associate. She was promoted to her current role as Family Associate Supervisor in 2019. With over 12 years of experience serving Baker Boyer clients, Stephanie is a true customer service expert. Outside of Baker Boyer, Stephanie volunteers with Walla Walla Community Hospice for their annual Camp Amanda weekend as a counselor. She also enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, traveling, and wine-tasting. 

Matthew Sursely to Assistant Vice President  

Matthew Sursely

Matthew started at Baker Boyer in 2019 as an Investment Advisor bringing 15 years of experience in the financial industry. He very quickly earned his securities license and grew his knowledge of Baker Boyer’s investment philosophy. He graduated from Western Washington University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Matthew enjoys spending his spare time golfing, woodworking, and keeping up with his dog, Farley.
