Mark’s background as a CPA, Financial Advisor, and Investment Manager allow him to discuss with his clients a myriad of options for wealth management and generational gift planning. In addition, his experience with charitable trusts, foundations, and gifting allow him to advise individuals on their community stewardship planning.

Mark holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Washington. His background includes tax, trust, and estate planning, consulting Fortune 500 companies at Ernst and Young, as well as financial and charitable advising for Whitman College. Mark is a frequent commentator on Bloomberg and CNBC financial television programs.

Mark was born in Walla Walla and has called it home for over 40 years. He and his wife have two children and he is heavily involved in the community. Mark is Vice Chair of the Episcopal Diocese Foundation, Vice Chair of the Walla Walla Housing Authority, Overseer of Whitman College and is involved with Rotary.

Walla Walla, WA – Mark Kajita of Baker Boyer Bank has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Wealth Management Division Manager and Chief Investment Officer. Mark leads the bank’s Wealth Management Division which includes Investment Management and Trust Services, Baker Boyer Investor Services, and the Investment Group. Mark began his current portfolio manager duties with Baker Boyer in July 2003 and has been an economic spokesman and chief investment strategist for the bank’s fiduciary portfolios. Mark’s responsibilities also include membership on the bank’s executive committee and he is a frequent commentator on Bloomberg, FOX News, and CNBC financial television programs.

Mark was born and raised in Walla Walla and received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business and Accounting from the University of Washington. He is a licensed CPA with 20 years of experience in trust and estate planning, tax and financial planning and wealth management.
