Certificates of Deposit

Basically savings accounts with defined terms, CDs provide a middle ground between traditional savings accounts and the stock market. If you have a little extra cash sitting in a savings account, transferring it to a CD could earn you considerably higher rates. With various terms, one can be found to fit most savings goals. CDs can be opened with as little as $500 and you have the ability to make additional deposits at any time.
